Product Engineer                                                                                  

Location:  N. Billerica, MA

Contour Semiconductor is a venture backed company with innovative and patented technology for developing and manufacturing the worlds lowest cost, highest density, IC memory devices.

This position will be responsible for transitioning the prototype designs of Contour’s proprietary low cost diode memory devices into volume production. The Product Engineer will work closely with Contour’s design and process engineers to generate product test plans and to ensure new products are characterized over all pertinent test conditions.  The individual will perform test and evaluation of die and packaged parts to verify product integrity and coordinate transfer of data into product specifications.  The Product Engineer will design test fixtures for bench level or ATE as necessary.  Additional functions will include: generation of production documentation associated with new products, data analysis, certification of test hardware and software for production, maintain all product documentation with manufacturing, responsible for cost reduction through yield and manufacturing improvements. Occasional global travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product characterization testing
• Define product performance characteristics
• Statistical data analysis
• Product qualification testing to Specifications & JEDEC standards
• Datasheet preparation, review, release, and support
• Preparation of manufacturing documents and procedures
• Work with OEM testing/packaging house to ramp production volume

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSEE, MSEE (or equivalent) with 5+ years experience in memory chip characterization, and qualification
• Prior product engineering experience in Flash memory is highly desirable
• Self-starter and the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Creative thinker willing to work in a fast paced start-up environment
• Flexibility to undertake broader technical tasks as needs arise
• Team player with effective project management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Software experience with Microsoft Office Suite, C++, and statistical analysis tools
