Contour Semiconductor Inc. is dedicated to producing the world's lowest-cost, high volume, non-volatile memory chips.  Contour uses its patented Diode Decoded Memory (D²M) architecture with proprietary circuit techniques to reduce the number of mask and process steps by about 70% as compared to NAND Flash memory.  Our approach results in a 3 to 4 fold improvement in capacity for a given fabrication facility with a corresponding 75% reduction in die cost as compared to NAND.  Future generations will incorporate the company's patented and innovative process technology, Topolithography™, which further reduces process cost and complexity by eliminating all critical mask steps.
